A year ago, I quickly did an application to manage a shared virtual account.
You need to give the application:
- what you bought
- how much did it cost
- who bought it
- when did it happen
In 5 second, you managed daily your shared account, 2 boxes to fill and on to cross. The date is filled by default. At the end of the month, an email is sent to the participants telling who must give money to the other(s) and how much. Simple, neat and makes archives. The database is very light.
I took it back to customize it a little for my reader ;) and to be compatible for more than 2 persons (for exemple, for roommates).
You can find it here:

There are days when you don't know what to do (even at work), but when you want to work and make progress, not losing time, helping others.
That's why, as a developper, it's important to choose a place on the internet where you can ask and answer questions in a domain you work or like.
Personnaly, I chose
StackOverflow, more to answer than to ask questions and see others' problems (which can happen to you in the future), watch other pro answering as well, etc...
I like and am good at it ;)
I'm well aware that I have a very few reader on this blog. It's just a reference for me and to keep a track on my projects afterall :).
But it allows me to find new development ways, to test my XMLSQL class. That's why I modify this blog and added comments. (This way my XML DB might grow bigger faster).
You can go and write me messages (but be reasonable please! ;)
